Men - How to Dress for Success in the Workplace

Simple and sleek are two words to best describe proper attire for men in the workplace. In many workplaces, suits are not required but it is still important to have an overall put-together look. A nicely pressed tailored shirt and dress pants will often be acceptable, but keep a suit jacket or sportscoat handy in case of a last minute meeting. Always keep in mind that it is better to be overdressed than underdressed!
A common faux pas made by many men is either dressing too casually or wearing clothing that is too tight. Dressing down can leave the impression that you don't take the job seriously and possibly make the company look bad. Also, unless you work at a gym, there is really no need to be wearing shirts that are showing off your muscles (or in some cases, belly). When in doubt, seek help from a female!
